    A staff member's total compensation also includes benefits that UPMC pays on his or her behalf, such as compensation for paid time off, medical and dental benefits, and the value of life insurance, retirement, and short-term and long-term disability. The Total Compensation Calculator may be used to facilitate discussion about how a change in an employee's status or an internal transfer might affect his or her compensation picture. This Excel-based tool will calculate the dollar value of all the compensation a staff member receives from UPMC based on information unique to his or her position and benefit selections.
